Major Recruitment are pleased to be partnering with a well established and growing engineering company based in Huddersfield and we are currently seeking a Quality Controller to join our clients Quality team

The overall purpose of the position is to ensure any customer and internal complaints are dealt with in a timely manner and in line with the Company’s quality standards and procedures.

Duties to include, but is not exhaustive of :-

  • Be the first point of contact when dealing with any customer issues or queries
  • Creating rework job cards for internal and customer issues
  • Record and follow rework job cards
  • Fulfil the CAPA (corrective and preventative actions) requirements and investigate to the root cause of the problem
  • Liaise with Supervisors, Managers and Directors
  • Read and understand drawings, job pack instructions and customers’ specifications
  • Complete weekly and monthly analysis for data collection
  • Complete Certificates of Conformity, if required
  • Complete customer’s non-conformance reports, when required
  • Report any errors or major discrepancies to the SHEQ Manager / Technical Director immediately so corrective actions can be taken
  • Accountable for accepting responsibility for quality aspects and actively participating in quality efforts and supporting the Quality Policy
  • Discuss the inspection results with the SHEQ Manager / Technical Director
  • Responsible in maintaining compliance with the Quality Management System
  • Computer literacy is essential
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment by following safety policies and procedures and by reporting any safety concerns.
  • Experience in sheet metal manufacturing would be an advantage
